Tokyo, March 21, 2012

Fujitsu has announced the reorganization of its regional systems engineering (SE) companies—four companies in eastern Japan and six companies in western Japan—with the two new organizations to be known as Fujitsu Systems East Limited and Fujitsu Systems West Limited, respectively.

As regional SE operations for the Fujitsu Group, the two newly integrated companies, together with Fujitsu Kyushu Systems Limited, which was formed in April 2009, will be the backbone of Fujitsu's solutions and systems integration business.

On December 19, 2011, Fujitsu announced its plans to further bolster its solutions business framework by reorganizing and integrating the Group's regional SE companies. In addition, as of April 1, 2012, it would restructure its regional SE companies, as below, into the three regions of eastern Japan, western Japan and Kyushu.

In eastern Japan, Fujitsu System Solutions Limited will be the surviving company, and together with the consolidation of Fujitsu Hokkaido Systems Limited, Fujitsu Tohoku Systems Limited and Fujitsu Nagano Systems Engineering Limited, will form Fujitsu Systems East.

Similarly, in western Japan, Fujitsu Systems West will be comprised of Fujitsu Kansai Systems Limited, the surviving company, together with the consolidation of Fujitsu Chubu Systems Limited, Fujitsu Chugoku Systems Limited, Fujitsu Okayama Systems Engineering Limited, Fujitsu Shikoku Systems Limited, and Fujitsu Nishi-Nihon Applications, Ltd.

As a result of this reorganization and integration, the management resources and expertise that are currently dispersed across various regional SE companies will be consolidated within the Fujitsu Group in a way that leads to more effective use of resources and greater efficiencies in development investments. As the Fujitsu Group strengthens its cloud and other services businesses, and accelerates its globalization, this reorganization will bolster Fujitsu's competitiveness to expand its regional business in Japan, and will create an SE framework that can contribute even further to the development of Fujitsu Group customers.
