Fujitsu's Initiatives in Response to Flood Damage in Thailand

Fujitsu expresses its concern to all those who suffered damage in the recent floods in Thailand and sincerely hopes for their safety and quick recovery.
In response to the floods, Fujitsu established a flood response headquarters at its subsidiary in Bangkok, Thailand, Fujitsu Systems Business (Thailand), quickly dispatched support staff from Japan to Bangkok and nearby areas, and worked to restore the ICT systems installed in customer offices and manufacturing facilities.
Now, as the flooding has subsided, Fujitsu is launching a Thai Flood Damage Special Recovery Support Program to support the ICT environment and equipment that is essential for restarting customer operations.
In this program, Fujitsu will provide to customers, free of charge, datacenters in Thailand and Singapore operated by the Fujitsu Group as well as a cloud environment to support the quick recovery of customers' vital ICT systems and their future business continuity measures.
By supporting the recovery of customer ICT systems that were damaged, the Fujitsu Group seeks to help customers restore normal business operations.
About the Thai Flood Damage Special Recovery Support Program
Fujitsu is providing the below services to companies, local governments, and non-profit entities that are working on recovery efforts from flood damage in Thailand. Fujitsu will also propose these services to customers who are preparing medium- to long-term plans for business continuity.
- Fujitsu Global Cloud Platform (FGCP/S5) public-type cloud service
This Fujitsu service offers pools of servers, storage equipment and other virtual ICT infrastructure, in accordance with customer needs, from Fujitsu's datacenters via a network. A public cloud service for companies, this service offers on-demand availability that meets customer needs. For customers who need to temporarily move their data to a safe location, or for customers who need ICT systems that are up and running quickly, Fujitsu will provide this service free of charge for one month.
- Co-location service at Fujitsu's Bangkok datacenter
In Fujitsu's Bangkok datacenter, which is a fully-equipped with a full range of safety and security features, Fujitsu will provide co-location services, in which dedicated customer systems are hosted, free of charge for one month.
- Damage assessment services for customer servers, storage, and network
Fujitsu provides a free, half-day damage assessment service for servers, storage, and networks damaged in the floods, that also includes a damage assessment report. In addition to assessing the existing network, Fujitsu will provide a proposal for a recommended network environment that takes into account infrastructure and security.
- Providing PRIMERGY x86 servers and ETERNUS storage systems at reduced pricing
For customers that seek to restore their own systems, Fujitsu will provide its PRIMERGY x86 servers and ETERNUS storage systems at reduced prices.
Program Duration
From today until March 31, 2012
