Fujitsu Limited,Fujitsu Toshiba Mobile Communications Limited

Tokyo, October 27, 2010

Fujitsu today announced that its new T005 mobile phone will be available from KDDI Corporation and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company in Japan beginning October 29, 2010.

Designed to sit comfortably in the palm of the user's hand, the T005 is equipped with a one-touch open button that allows users to smoothly access the mobile phone's features, for superior operability.

The T005's water-resistance makes it possible for users to use the phone indoors near the kitchen sink or outdoors in the rain. The T005 is also equipped with a high-resolution 8.08 megapixel camera that includes a host of features to bring added convenience to user's lives.

The T005 is a slim, water-resistant mobile phone. It preserves the design as Toshiba's T003, launched in October 2009, with its user-friendliness and casing that makes fingerprints barely noticeable. The T005 adds convenient features, such as a higher pixel count for the camera and a business card reader. Equipped with a one-touch open button, the handset is designed to fit comfortably in the user's palm while being easily accessible with just one hand.

Among its entertainment features, the T005 allows multiple stored images to be displayed at once, and is also equipped with a photo viewer that allows users to see their pictures using 16 different types of effect patterns. The mobile phone is equipped with a CMOS camera with an effective pixel count of 8.08 megapixels and has features such as a smile finder, face recognition autofocus, shake correction, and backlight correction. With these features, users never miss the perfect snapshot.

In addition, the T005 has a variety of convenient functions. When the mobile phone receives a call or e-mail message while the handset is closed, a built-in, approximately 0.8-inch sub-display lights up an icon that informs the user on the type of correspondence that is coming in and displays the name of the person contacting the user. The T005 can also be set to go into "Eco Mode" through an "Eco Key" button that saves power and extends the life of the battery charge. Users no longer have to worry about their mobile phone dying abruptly while on the go.

Furthermore, just by taking an image of a business card, the business card reader function automatically inputs contact information into the phone's address book. The handset also has an "instant memo" feature that enables users to instantly record information in the form of an audio message, an image, or text, even when the keypad is locked, without having to unlock it. The T005 is also equipped with six electronic dictionaries. These and other built-in features make the handset extremely useful in a variety of business situations.

The T005 mobile is designed to be fun and easy to use, whether in private or business. It comes in three colors: mat black, fine blue and pink gold.
