Fujitsu Limited
Tokyo, January 24, 2008
Fujitsu Limited announced that Japan Customs granted on January 23, 2008 its application seeking suspension of imports of Nanya Technology Corporation Japan memory products that infringe Fujitsu patent.
Hereafter, Japan Customs will take procedures to inspect Nanya Technology Corporation Japan memories (DDR/DDR2/DDR3 SDRAM) and memory modules for import into Japan. If products are confirmed as infringing products listed on the application, Japan Customs will suspend their import as prescribed under the Customs Law.
Fujitsu filed the application with Japan Customs on August 31, 2007, following a decision by the Tokyo District Court to uphold patent infringement claims against Nanya Technology Corporation Japan, a subsidiary of Nanya Technology Corporation of Taiwan.
