The first model in the FACOM V series of second-generation small business computers, introduced in 1979. These models were developed under the basic principle of being usable anywhere desired, with easy Japanese-language processing and software development capabilities.
After this, the series expanded with the higher-level models FACOM V-850 (June 1980), and V-870 (July 1982), and the lower-level FACOM V-830 STREAM, completing the new FACOM V series.
