Message from the President

Thank you for your continued support of Fujitsu.

Recently, in addition to my duties as chairman, I was appointed the president of Fujitsu Limited following the former president's resignation due to health reasons. Though the change in leadership was unexpected, we are making every effort to ensure the smooth continuity of business activities.

Our corporate philosophy, the Fujitsu Way, sets forth a Corporate Vision that defines the reason for the existence of the Fujitsu Group: "Through our constant pursuit of innovation, the Fujitsu Group aims to contribute to the creation of a networked society that is rewarding and secure, bringing about a prosperous future that fulfills the dreams of people throughout the world.” All Fujitsu employees remain fully committed to achieving this vision.

In July 2009, as part of our medium-term management plan, we also reaffirmed our commitment to an ambitious transformation intended to focus our business on the customer's customer, expand business outside Japan, and enhance our commitment to the environment. We will continue to make strides accomplishing these goals.

As a longtime salesman at Fujitsu, I have always been strongly aware of the importance of our customer-centric management principle, and proud to uphold it. My chief responsibility as president will be to use my experience to reinforce our customer-centric management and ensure that Fujitsu accomplishes its goals based on this principle.
