Overseas Forestation Activities

Fujitsu won 1st prize of the 5th Global Environmental Award in April,1996. To commemorate this award, we began forestation activities toward regeneration of tropical forests mainly in Southeast Asia.

Thailand tropical forests regeneration activities

Our original international contribution activity started in Thailand in April 1997. This activity was implemented as cooperation to tropical forests regeneration activities promoted in Thailand National Park, in cooperation with Japan International Forestry Promotion and Cooperation Center which is promoting international forestation of private companies.


Fujitsu-Vietnam forest of friendship

Forestation in Vietnam

After in Thailand, we have been implementing forestation activities entitled "Fujitsu-Vietnam forest of friendship" in Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. Forestation in Vietnam is implemented by contribution and employee volunteers from Fujitsu Ltd., and employee volunteers from Fujitsu Computer Products of Vietnam, Inc.(FCV).


Fujitsu Group Malaysia Eco-Forest Park Reforestation Project

Reforestation in Malaysia

Fujitsu Group in 2002 established the Fujitsu Group Malaysia Eco-Forest Park in Sabah State, with support from the the Sabah State Forestry Development Authority (SAFODA), and the Japan International Forestry Promotion & Cooperation Center (JIFPRO). This effort was made possible by contributions from over 10,000 Fujitsu Group employees to cover operating capital for the project, and a promotion group comprising personnel from Fujitsu Limited, Group companies, and the Fujitsu labor union.
