Product Recycle Effort in Australia

Australia currently do not legislate a law imposing take-back of used IT product on producers*. However,Fujitsu Australia Ltd. offers used IT product recycling service called "Reverse Logistics Solution" for our business and instituional customers from April 2006. We collected and recycled used IT product together with packaging on some projects.
* At the time of writing on March 2007.

For the past three years, Fujitsu Australia has been working closely with the AIIA** and their member companies to develop a voluntary industry-driven product stewardship strategy to address the environmental management of e-waste at the end of life stage of the product lifecycle.
