The 4th Fujitsu Group reforestation project “Fujitsu Group Malaysia Eco-Forest Park”
Since 1998, The Fujitsu Group has engaged in forestation work in Southeast Asia (Thailand,Vietnam and Malaysia) where our company has the office. In 2005, we planned "Enhancing Malaysia Eco Forest Park" as the 4th overseas reforestation project.
The 1st afforestation was executed on January, 14th through January, 16th, 2005.
The 4th Reforestation Plan
The 'Malaysia Eco-Forest Park' located Kinarut of Sabah state is the plan started by the hope of the Fujitsu group and the
Sabah Forestry Development Authority(Safoda) with the 3rd reforestation activity from 2002 to 2004.
We are aiming at not only the green tract of land maintenance but also
1. Revival and maintenance of the species endemic to the land.
2. Offer of 'ecosystem field' that education and research laboratories can use.
3. Economic independence in region by effective use for recreation and eco-tourism.
We have been scheduling the afforestation of 100ha in total by the 4th afforestation in three year plan since 2005, with
the group company that participates newly from this year.
And 76% of the ground that can be afforested will be completed by executing this project.

The 1st afforestation of 4th Reforestation Plan
About 2,700 dipterocarp species were planted in the land of about 11ha by 70 participants or more from Malaysia and Japan
among January, 14th through January, 16th, 2005. 22 students from University Malaysia Sabah and the 31 children and guardians
in local elementary and junior high schools also participated in afforestation on the second day.
