Fujitsu’s Dynamic Infrastructures portfolio covers many VMware products as an integrated component. It started many years ago with VMware’s market-leading server-virtualization layer VMware ESXi, as part of VMware vSphere, and the central management VMware vCenter. Fujitsu was VMware’s second OEM partner worldwide.

Several benchmark records of Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers in VMware’s benchmark VMmark underline the close cooperation of both companies. Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers are No. 1 in all disciplines in which we have participated of the closed single system VMmark 1.1.1 and also have held several No. 1 positions in the current multi-system benchmark VMmark 2.x.

Moreover, in cooperation with VMware we have integrated VMware vSphere into our in-house developed solutions like Fujitsu’s FlexFrame for SAP – Fujitsu’s dynamic IT infrastructure for SAP environments. Likewise, Fujitsu ETERNUS DX storage systems and their management are integrated into the VMware vCenter management via VMware API’s (e.g. VAAI, VASA, …).

Among other things, Fujitsu ETERNUS DX systems provide the remote mirroring capability which is the basis for reliable disaster recovery solutions. To enable a complete, automated disaster recovery solution for your vSphere virtualized environment Fujitsu offers VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager (SRM).

Additionally, we provide you with complete and pretested private cloud solutions, like Fujitsu ‘Dynamic Infrastructures for VMware vCloud’. Beside the associated services and the complete VMware software stack, it includes Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers, ETERNUS storage systems, Fujitsu network components and all other infrastructure components, such as Fujitsu PRIMECENTER rack(s) and cabling. We also offer the VMware vCloud Director as a separate product. Within the Intel Cloud Builder Program (provider ‘Fujitsu’) you will find some proven reference architectures for private clouds based on further Fujitsu offerings combined with VMware vCloud Director.

To complement your virtualization or private cloud solution Fujitsu offers VMware vCenter Chargeback Manager. VMware Chargeback enables you to achieve full cost transparency of your VMware virtualized or private cloud environment.

Fujitsu Zero Clients, Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers, ETERNUS systems, Fujitsu network components are the basis for achieving a very high-performance, reliable and easy-to-use virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). To have the appropriate management for your VMware vSphere-based environment Fujitsu offers VMware View as the well-fitting complement management for your VDI project.
