Fujitsu Implements User-Centric Workplace Services for Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice
- Fujitsu has secured 10 Million-plus Euro contract to install and manage devices and back-end services for more than 6,000 Ministry of Security and Justice employees
- Co-created solution addresses complex security and technology requirements, and manages all workplace devices
- Virtualized environment provides improved flexibility and security for the Ministry while future-proofing hardware and enhancing productivity
The agreement builds on an existing relationship with the Dutch government, where Fujitsu delivers client hardware. The Ministry awarded the new managed workplace services contract to Fujitsu – recognized among industry leading providers by independent analyst firm Gartner1
– following a successful tender.
Fujitsu was selected by the Ministry of Justice for having demonstrated its deep understanding of the Ministry’s unique requirements. These include close collaboration with a state-run data center which houses the back end of the digital workplace services and a ‘zero footprint’ set-up which means that no data is held locally on laptops.

The agreement hands responsibility for all the Ministry’s devices to Fujitsu, which is providing a seamless transition. The Ministry’s employees are receiving Fujitsu LIFEBOOK notebooks, configured and personalized for individual roles and responsibilities. Fujitsu is also providing the Ministry of Justice with rapid-response technical support, based on service level agreements.
