LuLu Group International is a highly diversified entity with operations spanning a vast geographical landscape. Spearheaded by the retail division, the Group also has varied business lines in Imports & Exports, and Wholesale & Distribution.
In the past, Nakilat operated multiple servers with six storage devices dispersed across its three main lines of business. The organization had an interest in implementing a consolidated IT environment that would unify the company, reduce operational demands and make Nakilat SAP HANA® equipped.
After evaluating multiple vendors, the company decided to extend the collaboration with its proven SAP software support provider, Fujitsu. FUJITSU Integrated System PRIMEFLEX® for SAP HANA® now supports Sterlite sales, logistics, production and supply chain operations with the leading-edge in memory technology to gain the full benefit of SAP Business Suite on HANA and SAP BW on HANA.
SAP HANA enables Remmers to produce real-time reports for its sales, accounting and reporting departments in 26 companies across Germany and abroad, even dealing with the different currencies. The entire SAP environment is hosted from the company’s headquarters in Löningen, with the two redundantly designed data centers ensuring high availability.
Migration of the SAP Business Warehouse to SAP HANA infrastructure
The adoption of SAP Business One on SAP HANA, based on Fujitsu systems, met KÜNZI’s need to move forward and embrace innovation. The server’s processing capacity is such that there is still ample room to develop new procedures to improve the quality of employees’ work.
The implementation of SAP Business Suite on Fujitsu PRIMEFLEX for SAP HANA infrastructure has enabled the university to provide its teaching staff, students and other educational/ training institutions with the latest technology, and it has the option to expand the system at any time to cope with future demands.
In 2007, the time came for Bahlsen to find a new outsourcing partner. Hinrich Kastern, Head of Information Management, knew exactly what they needed: “A partner with comprehensive SAP knowledge, as well as expertise in application hosting and outsourcing.”
The number of partners with whom Bahlsen exchanges data has increased sharply in recent years. In selecting Fujitsu for the task of integrating individual European subsidiaries into the EDI system, the company has opted for a service provider that can also implement country-specific requirements, for instance, various EDI standard formats.
