Rod Vawdrey is Chief Executive Officer of Fujitsu Technology Solutions, Fujitsu’s CEMEA&I sales region (Continental Europe, Middle East, Africa & India).
As IB President, Rod is also responsible for the majority of Fujitsu’s business outside Japan and leads an international operation spanning more than 100 countries across nine regions from the Americas through Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Rod has more than thirty years’ experience in the ICT industry with an extraordinary expertise in understanding and managing large and complex ICT businesses both domestically and internationally across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Rod started his career in 1978 as an IT graduate trainee in Melbourne, Australia with NCR Corporation. He joined its sales organization and progressed ultimately to Business Unit and Country Management. In 1999, he moved with NCR to the United States, where he held a variety of roles before becoming responsible for Marketing, Channel Development, Product Marketing/ Management and Engineering in the US, and taking global responsibility for the sales division.
In 2003, Rod moved to Sydney, Australia to join Fujitsu. As Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Fujitsu Australia & New Zealand, Rod oversaw the company’s merger with DMR Consulting, and the acquisition of Atos Origin’s Australian operations, Infinity Solutions in New Zealand, and KAZ Group and Supply Chain Consulting including their South East Asia operations.
Rod has held a number of positions with industry organizations including board membership of the Australian Information Industry Association, Board of Governors of the Electrical Engineering and Information Foundation, University of Sydney and the Australian Product Numbering Association.
