VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland was chosen as the winner of the Service Desk Customer of the year 2011 award in HDI Nordic Ltd's annual competition. Fujitsu proposed VTT as the winner.
VTT and Fujitsu's collaboration dates back to 2005, when VTT signed its first Patja contract. Fujitsu's user support team for VTT consists of around ten Fujitsu professionals, who resolve thousands of service requests each month. Consistently excellent user satisfaction marks tell of splendid service.
"Some two thirds of our staff are researchers who use research environment related software and technology. Researchers are perceptive and demanding end users. If you manage to get high marks from them, the service truly has to be of impeccable quality,” says CIO Markus Ekman of VTT.
In compliance with the Patja contract, Fujitsu manages the workstations of some 3,200 VTT staff members, and within the entire research network there are all in all approximately 4,500 workstations. Aside from desktop services the collaboration has over the years expanded to cover mobile services, instant messaging and product services, to name a few.
Fujitsu service desk has been nominated the Help Desk of the year as many as three times, in 2000, 2003 and 2006. Last year, Fujitsu's Jouni Viskari won the Service Desk Supervisor of the year 2010 competition. Fujitsu's achievements in HDI Nordic Ltd.'s annual competitions are unmatched by any other organisation.
