Wrappings and functional laminates producer Walki Group Oy and ICT services provider Fujitsu Services Oy have signed an ICT services agreement whereby Walki's IT infrastructure will be managed by Fujitsu's Patja service model. The agreement also incorporates SAP system maintenance as a service.
"We are not willing to juggle multiple suppliers, which means that we expect our IT partner to have a comprehensive and versatile command of the entire IT infrastructure field. We have operations in several countries, which is why global presence is also important," says IT Manager John Aspnäs of Walki Group.
The Patja service for Walki incorporates the availability, maintenance and management services in the company's desktop and server environment, as well as telecommunications connections. The service covers all Walki offices that besides two sites in Finland are located in Sweden, Norway, Germany, UK, France, Poland and China. Also included in the agreement are the Push Mail services and IT devices.
The operations of this international company runs around the clock, seven days a week, which means that also the support services must be available to it 24/7.
"Patja has greatly supported our growth. We recently expanded our operations to Poland, where our Warsaw plant with its 270 employees joined the service fluently and flexibly. Next up, we will launch an upgrade project on our desktop operating systems. We are not currently planning any SAP expansions, but we are highly satisfied with how it works and the service we are receiving," Aspnäs says.
