VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland, has entered into a service agreement with Fujitsu Services Oy on End-to-End service, whereby Fujitsu will manage the replacement process of standard workstations for VTT. The agreement covers approximately 3,600 workstations, whose replacement cycle is circa three years.
VTT has been Fujitsu's Patja service customer since 2005. Up until now the company has managed its own product procurements, whereas pre-installations, installations and the recycling of old devices have already been covered in the Patja service. In addition to these services, the End-to-End service incorporates replacement devices, deliveries and replacement management.
”Last spring, when it was again time to renew our workstations, we found the routine management of lease replacements very laborious. We started looking into ways to facilitate the process, and the End-to-End service was indeed the best alternative. Fujitsu will now also figure out which of the VTT recommended computer models best suit which user. This will save us precious time,” says service manager Harri Kivimaa of VTT.
The End-to-End service will be started up during the course of autumn.
