Finland The Ministry of Trade and Industry in Finland to Use Fujitsu's NetCommunity for Enterprise Services

Fujitsu Services Oy

joulukuu 08, 2006

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (KTM) is soon to deploy the NetCommunity communication solution developed by Fujitsu Services Oy, to serve the Enterprise-Finland online service and the Employment and Economic Development Centres (TE-keskus). NetCommunity will also be used as the platform for on-line enterprise services.

The NetCommunity platform will host the websites of 15 TE Centres, and the yrityssuomi.fi portal service. The new TE centre websites will be launched by the end of January, and the yrityssuomi.fi service on its new platform in March. There will be an estimated total of 200 website admins.

"We opted for Fujitsu's NetCommunity, because it was familiar to us from previous bid rounds and it has such good references. NetCommunity supports the process of setting up a website really well, and enables productive and fast maintenance. And what's more, a big company provides excellent development opportunities and future prospects", says Chief IT Manager Raimo Porttikivi of KTM.

The yrityssuomi.fi portal administered by KTM serves small and middle-sized companies, business owners and aspiring business owners. Other target groups include educational institutions and the media.
