Technical building services company Tekmanni Service has purchased Fujitsu's Mobile Field Force system to mobilise its building management activities. According to the five-year agreement, Fujitsu provides Tekmanni with Mobile Field Force as a service.
With the new mobile system, Tekmanni Service is able to improve the efficiency of its maintenance organisation throughout Finland. Engineers receive assignments directly to their mobile devices without having to drive to the office to fetch them. They are now also able to send reports of completed assignments and used materials on their mobile terminals. Engineers sign off completed tasks and report mileage and other costs through the Mobile Field Force system. Real-time reporting enables efficient monitoring of assignments in progress.
"Building management is all about being on the move, which is why a system such as Mobile Field Force is perfect for it. Thanks to its mobility, our field staff will now spend a lot less time in moving from one assignment to the next and data processing will primarily be done on site instead of the office. What is more, we will now be better able to match right assignments with right people", says Tapio Vähämäki, Director of Logistics at Tekmanni.
"We tested three mobile systems over a period last autumn. Our engineers grew keen on Fujitsu's solution, as they found it straight forward and easiest to use. We also felt secure with Fujitsu's robustness and reliability, knowing that Mobile Field Force already has some previous references", Vähämäki explains.
Mobile Field Force is a Fujitsu-developed solution designed for communication between field personnel and their background organisation. The system is built on the mProcess technology, which is terminal-independent.
