Ramboll Finland (formerly known as SCC Viatek) has selected Fujitsu as its technology partner. According to the agreement, signed just before Christmas, Ramboll’s IT infrastructure will be transferred to Fujitsu under a Patja arrangement. A total of 630 Ramboll employees and an equal number of workstations will be included in the Patja service. In addition, six Ramboll IT professionals will transfer to the employment of Fujitsu.
Ramboll provides consulting and professional services in the areas of infrastructure design, construction, maintenance and house building.
In addition to user support services, the agreement also includes competence development services based on the Trim model. Trimming activities will focus on office applications and the use of email. User support will be available from 7 am to 7 pm and support for personnel working abroad will be available on a 24/7 basis.
“We want to improve our IT infrastructure services in all of our 14 locations without having to hire more people. We are also striving to raise the competence level of our staff using Trim services. Our technical design and consulting staff is highly proficient in the use of our specialised software, but we need more training in the workings of Office applications,” states Sari Kaikkonen, Chief Financial Officer of Ramboll.
“We selected the Fujitsu Patja service because of our positive past experience with Fujitsu in the implementation of the Exchange project last spring. The decision was also supported by the positive comments and feedback from other Patja customers,” says Sari Kaikkonen.
“Our job is to provide Ramboll with significant competitive advantages in our area of responsibility. This is a challenging environment because all the employees of this modern consulting house are experienced computer users,” concludes Fujitsu Sales Director Petteri Heikinheimo.
