Finland’s Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister’s Office have outsourced their user support and the availability services for about 100 servers used in Government systems to Fujitsu. The agreement period covers three years with a one-year option.

The ministries that operate in the Government Palace represent the top level of national decision-making power, and they have particularly high quality expectations of the services.

"The competitive bid process concerning the user and availability services was a very carefully thought out process. We specified a set of clear criteria on how the services should be implemented. Fujitsu proved to be the supplier whose operating model, supplemented by our additional requirements, best met these criteria in two separately evaluated comparisons," explains Kari Kekki, CIO of the Government IT Unit.

”As a result of the new agreement, we are looking forward to high-quality service production based on leading-edge technology and on Fujitsu’s extensive experience. We require active service development that reacts quickly to our needs,” Kekki concludes.
