Basware and Fujitsu enter into agreement on expanded data center services, and product services

The agreement covers physical servers, virtual servers and cloud service. Fujitsu is responsible for the availability, management and 24/7 monitoring of the server environment.

Helsinki, kesäkuu 04, 2015 Fujitsu Finland Oy and Basware Oyj have signed an agreement on the expansion of the data center services. The agreement covers approximately one hundred servers that will run the company’s own enterprise systems. An agreement on servers for running the customer systems was signed in March last year.

The agreement covers physical servers, virtual servers and cloud service. Fujitsu is responsible for the availability, management and 24/7 monitoring of the server environment.

”Cloud services are inevitable, and we want to offer them to our users in a controlled manner. The flexible cloud service platform will, in particular, be utilized in the development of our own systems,” says CIO Janne Holli of Basware.

Moreover, the scope of the framework agreement was expanded to cover IT products as well. Approximately 500 workstations will be delivered to Basware’s twelve countries of operation within the next year. The devices will be delivered from Fujitsu’s logistics center in Finland. The service also includes the maintenance and update of the asset register.

”We have chosen the key vendors we acquire services from. Fujitsu is one of our main partners. Our cooperation has worked seamlessly for quite some time already, which is why we wanted not only to continue our cooperation but also to expand the framework agreement,” Holli continues.

With the expansions, the framework agreement between these two companies doubled in value. The data center services under the new agreement commence in June 2015.

Basware provides cloud-based purchase-to-pay and e-invoicing solutions to organizations of all sizes. With its in excess of 1,400 employees, it has operations not only in the Nordic countries but also in several other European countries and North America.
