Hartela continues its Patja basic IT service agreement with Fujitsu; the cooperation between the companies has been on-going ever since 2003.
Fujitsu provides Hartela with workstation services in Hartela’s premises and building sites as well as capacity and server availability services. Hartela also employs a Citrix-based system in which applications are used from a server where the applications are managed and kept up-to-date.
“We want to focus our own resources on business applications. Hence in basic IT we need a comprehensive service agreement. The fact that our cooperation with Fujitsu has continued for near ten years now tells its own tale of our satisfaction with their work,” affirms Kari Varkki, development director at Hartela.
When setting up the continuation agreement, Hartela wished for increased transparency to both the agreement itself and on service costs. In the new agreement, onsite support and any measures taken in Hartela offices or building sites are invoiced separately on the basis of work orders from Hartela. In the future, Hartela employees can for example choose to install applications themselves.
