Emulex OCec14102 Cloud Adapter
As a member of the CNA 14000 family, the OCec14102 Cloud Adapter uses a 10Gbit/s DCB (Converged Enhanced Ethernet) infrastructure for networking and storage, reducing capital expense (CAPEX) for adapters, switches and cables, and operational expense (OPEX) for power, cooling and IT administration. The OCec14102 Cloud Adapter increases data center IT agility and scalability, as well as optimation of the server hardware utilization by scaling high density virtualization.
The OCec14102 Cloud Adapter with 10GbE CNAs functionality is designed for the high bandwidth and scalability demands of Tier-1 enterprise applications with storage protocol (FCoE and iSCSI) offloads, more scalable virtualization with support for cloud optimization using Overlay Networking technology.
The Emulex OpenWorks Connector offers a bare metal adapter configuration management and rapid provisioning/deployment capabilities for scale-out environments such as cloud-based infrastructures. Third party provisioning tools, like Egenera PAN Manager 8.0, are able to utilize the new OpenWorks Connector Boot Manager to oversee the Emulex OneConnect OCec14000 Cloud Adapters. The combination with Egenera PAN Manager 8.0 allows rapidly configuration and provisioning of machine images to bare metal rack servers for physical and virtual environments.

The Fujitsu Network Adapter "Emulex OCe14102" is from the fourth generation of the Emulex OneConnect® product line OCe14000. The OCe14000 family of Ethernet network adapters provides high performance 10Gb Ethernet (10GbE) connectivity delivering multiple benefits for the enterprise cloud, including increasing data center IT agility and scalability through the deployment of a secure multi-tenant cloud. This optimizes server hardware utilization by scaling high density virtualization as well as delivering user-controlled bandwidth partitioning across workloads and management services.

Network Adapter EmulexOCe14102-NT
As a member of the OCe14000 network adapter family the “Fujitsu OCe14102-NT” offers a high performance networking solution, which perfectly fits for virtualization, enterprise cloud and datacenter tasks. The difference - in contrast to the Emulex OCe14102 adapter - is the use of the RJ45 connector type. This connector is compatible with CAT6/6A/7/7A twisted pair cabling standards for a maximum 10Gb strong Ethernet connectivity at very low costs. The NIC only adapter OCe14102-NT focusses on cloud functions; it can thus not handle the storage off-load functions (iSCSI and FCoE) of a Converged Network Adapter.
