Fujitsu Services, one of Europe’s leading IT services companies, has signed a five year contract with Electrolux, a leading global home appliances company, to provide services for elements of their European IT infrastructure. The deal is one of the largest ever won by Fujitsu in Sweden.
The deal covers full responsibility for PC, LAN, on-site-support, service desk as well as server management and comprises about 10,000 work stations in 32 countries. The service desk will provide support in 14 languages and will be located in Portugal and Sweden.
“This partnership is an important part of the consolidation work within the IT department”, says Bertil Norberg, group CIO, Electrolux. He continues, “The idea was to find more centralised but flexible solutions for our IT infrastructure. The procurement process has been extensive and the choice of Fujitsu was, amongst other things, based on the fact that it offers easy to manage IT services. They also demonstrated industry expertise and are in tune with our needs.”
