General Description

The MB15F08SL is a highly integrated solution for the generation of a stable, low noise, high frequency reference signal at a radio frequency of up to 2.5GHz, and an intermediate reference of up to 1200MHz frequency for use as a local oscillator in modern digital or analogue communications systems.

Fabricated in Fujitsu's state of the art BiCMOS process UESBiC III, the MB15F08SL features integrated dual modulus prescalers, programmable CMOS dividers, low noise phase detectors and new programmable charge pump circuits. Programming is achieved over a three wire serial interface.

The MB15F08SL can be packaged in either 16SSOP, or in the new space saving 16BCC RF package.

  • RF Dual Modulus Prescaler programmable between 32/33 and 64/65.
  • IF Dual Modulus Prescaler programmable between 16/17 and 32/33.
  • Programmed over three wire serial bus.
  • separate RF/IF power down features(0.1uA current consumption) controlled by extra pins, long programming sequence not necessary.
  • -40 to +85deg C ambient operating temperature range.
