General Description

The MB15F03SL is a highly integrated solution for the generation of a stable, low noise, high frequency reference signal at a radio frequency of up to 1.8GHz, and an intermediate reference of up to 600MHz frequency for use as a local oscillator in modern digital or analogue communications systems.

Fabricated in Fujitsu's state of the art BiCMOS process UESBiC III, the MB15F03SL features integrated dual modulus prescalers, programmable CMOS dividers, low noise phase detectors and new programmable charge pump circuits. Programming is achieved over a three wire serial interface.

The MB15F03SL can be packaged in either 16SSOP, or in the space saving 16BCC RF package.

  • Programmable 6.0mA/1.5mA Charge pump for good noise and spurious performance coupled with fast channel lock in.
  • RF Dual Modulus Prescaler programmable between 64/65 and 128/129.
  • IF Dual Modulus Prescaler programmable between 8/9 and 16/17.
  • Programmed over three wire serial bus.
  • separate RF/IF power down features(0.1uA current consumption) controlled by extra pins, long programming sequence not necessary.
  • -40 to +85deg C ambient operating temperature range.
