PLL Synthesizer Development Tools

Designing in a complex subsystem such as a PLL can be no easy task when optimum performance is required. Fujitsu therefore accompanies each part in its modern Super PLL range with an evaluation system to aid in the development of reliable frequency synthesiser loops. Each evaluation system consists of two PCBs, and controlling software which will run on a standard PC. The first PCB, which is common to all PLLs is employed as a programming interface between the PC and the second PCB. This second PCB is laid out to allow the MB15xxxx part to be optimised as a frequency synthesiser for the chosen application. The RF board is only semi-populated to allow the user to determine his configuration.

The following table shows the Fujitsu Super PLLs currently supported by evaluation systems. All of the following PLLs and their RF boards are used in conjunction with the MB1500EB00 programming board.
