Access Control
Fujitsu's product portfolio offers the key devices to develop sophisticated access control systems.
Fingerprint authentication provides a reliable, quick and user-friendly alternative to password inefficiency, which requires the user to recall and enter cumbersome and often numerous code combinations.
The Fujitsu MBF200 solid-state Fingerprint Sensor is a rugged, super thin, silicon-based, direct-contact fingerprint acquisition device. For space-conscious applications a sweep sensor is available as well.
To keep customer's development effort low, Fujitsu offers a complete embedded fingerprint solution. The development kit consists of the hardware for a standalone authentication system and the corresponding software libraries.

Wireless access control solutions make use of Fujitsu’s ISO 15693 or ISO 14443 compliant RFID and smartcards chips with embedded FRAM. Particularly for wireless and security applications, FRAM(1) offers several advantages over standard non-volatile memory technologies as Flash and EEPROM.
Terminals and reader/writer units are controlled by Fujitsu’s 8FX 8bit, 16FX 16bit or 32bit FR microcontrollers.
