Font Converter Tool

Converts Windows fonts into bit pattern files (for all Graphics Controllers except MB87P2020A 'Jasmine')

Description

This software tool displays the characters of an installed Windows font and converts them to a bit pattern header file for use as a character set in GDC source code. Input character sizes under 24 pts can be converted (font sizes over 24 pts are truncated after a warning, because the target cell area would then be too small. Asides the usual font parameters such as size, style and the font type, it is possible to set the following parameters: 'from/to' range (i.e. the start and end ASCII numbers of the characters), the offset position (the relative position of characters in a cell) and the output path and file name (the default name is taken from the font name, e.g. Arial12.h). It is possible to generate a test file in parallel, which is a simple binary (0/1) pattern which can be used as a preview in order to check the conversion process results.
