Christian Dutton, ROKA International Charity – I recently assisted with a project in Tibet to help people in need wherever necessary, regardless of religion or culture. I took with me a ScanSnap S1300 portable scanner.

I chose to create a profile; this was very straightforward and allowed me to customise the settings… There is the option of setting up multiple profiles which is easy, useful and saves a lot of time.

When I arrived in Tibet, my colleagues had been working at an orphanage school where they had been scanning 2-sided student data files with a flatbed scanner. It had taken them several days to scan only 30 students; with the S1300 I completed almost 100 students within just a few hours

As the electricity was sporadic the option of USB power was very useful. It worked well in sub-zero temperatures, dusty environment and at up to 5000m.

Overall a great product, highly recommended and excellent value.

We have people based in different areas in the world, it was very difficult to manage the process of proof until I got a scansnap. We had to wait for the mail to arrive with the documents. With no exaggeration, the fact of sharing a scansnap with 3 colleagues on the same working area is really easy. We just need to activate it with 1 button.
It has literally changed our day to day work.
I can’t imagine my life without it as it really made us win nearly 1 hour per day... can you imagine.
Now, we scan all our documents: invoices, contracts, receipt... and all the documents are then shared on a server.

Patrick McCormick, Buckinghamshire – Trying to scan using HP all in one printers was far too slow. This little Fujitsu S1500 is great. It just copies both sides in a trice and accepts all sorts of paper and sizes in the paper feed. It’s remarkably tolerant. It takes up no space on the desk and the only slight draw back is that it isn’t WiFi enabled. This is enabling me to digitise all my files and since I live in the UK and in France this will do away with the problem of where to file something. You can bet that having filed it in England you next want it in France or vice versa.
Coupled with Dropbox to synchronise data effortlessly this is a great improvement.
If they bring out a WiFi version, I’ll upgrade!
