Fujitsu Introduces Fingerprint Module Stack - An "All-in-one" Embedded System Solution

London, November 18, 2003 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) today announced an all-in-one embedded fingerprint system solution MDFP200. This new module stack allows customers to shorten their development cycles and achieve faster time-to-market. Target applications are access control & management systems and various personal identification systems.

Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe Introduces 128Mbit Mobile FCRAM™ with Burst Mode Operation

Frankfurt, August 21, 2003 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) today announced the availability of a new 128Mbit Mobile Fast Cycle RAMTM (*1) device for mobile phone applications. The new Mobile FCRAM, the MB82DBR08163, adopts burst mode operations compliant with the Common Specifications for Mobile RAM (COSMORAM*2). The device's high-speed performance and large density make it ideal for 3G cellular phone vendors looking to provide advanced applications. The device will start shipping in September 2003.

Frankfurt, June 26, 2003 – Fujitsu Microelectronics and Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc. (FLA) today introduced the industry's first 10Gbps Ethernet switch chip developed for layer-2 functions in high-performance server designs. The new 10Gbps switch chip enables system designers to develop compact and less costly switches, using high-performance, multi-ported memory that handles simultaneous read and write operation to and from all twelve 10Gbps ports, providing a total bandwidth capacity of 240Gbps.

Frankfurt, May 6, 2003 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) today introduced the AccelArray™ technology, developed to meet customer requirements for low cost and minimal design cycles using Fujitsu's proven design and process technology leadership. AccelArray shortens the design and fabrication cycle times of a typical standard cell ASIC by as much as 70 percent, and reduces total ASIC development cost for 0.11-micron products by as much as 80 percent.

Fujitsu, NEC and Toshiba agree on common specifications for "burst mode" pseudo SRAM user interface

Frankfurt, February 17, 2003 – Fujitsu, NEC and Toshiba announced today that they have reached an agreement on common specifications for Pseudo Static Random Access Memory (PSRAM) devices that feature burst mode function enabling fast access operation. Each of the three companies will independently manufacture and market PSRAM products based on the common specifications, which are to be called Common Specifications for Mobile RAM (COSMORAM), with product introduction expected to begin in the first half of fiscal 2003.
