Fujitsu Adds Differential Right-Angle Copper Connector for High-Speed Coplanar

Hoofddorp, October 19, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Europe, B.V. today expanded the packaging options of its internal microGiGaCN™ (FCN-260) mezzanine connector offering by releasing a high-speed differential signal, right-angle SMT plug connector. With this latest addition, the microGiGaCN series now accommodates co-planar and perpendicular board-to-board connections, in addition to 8mm through and 14mm stacking (mezzanine) applications.

Fujitsu’s New Cat5 Extender Enables Remote KVM Switch Access Up to 200m over Cable

Fujitsu Introduces Optical Transceiver Module with Media Converter

Hoofddorp, May 11, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Europe B.V. today released a 4-channel optical transceiver module that uses an internal media converter to extend the signal transmission reach of a copper interface up to 300m at 2.5Gb/s or 100m at 3.125Gb/s over multimode fiber (MMF) ribbon cable. Using the Fujitsu optical module, IT managers have the flexibility to implement either a copper or an optical solution using one low-cost copper I/O interface.

Fujitsu Releases X2 Copper Transceiver Module for 10Gbit-CX4 Ethernet Applications

Hoofddorp, May 11, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Europe, B.V. today announced the release of a copper electrical transceiver module compliant with the X2 multi-source agreement (MSA) specification Rev. 1.0b. The X2 x-mGC module transmits 10Gb/s Ethernet over 20m of standard InfiniBand copper cable (AWG24) or VSR parallel optics through a single port, offering a cost-effective, standards-compliant product targeted for multiple applications in 10Gb/s enterprise, storage, and telecom markets. Using the imbedded media detect circuit, transmission up to 300 meters over standard multi-mode can also be achieved using Fujitsu’s o-MGC optical media converter.

Fujitsu Brings to Market Industry's First Copper XENPAK Module for Network/Server Markets

Hoofddorp, May 3, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Europe B.V., today released the industry's first copper XENPAK module (xMGC) that conforms to the new 10GBASE-CX4 specification (IEEE 802.03ak/D4.2) for low-cost 10-Gigabit copper Ethernet. The new module reduces the cost per port by offering a low-cost copper solution that has the flexibility to support VSR parallel optics through a single port.

Fujitsu Expands its 7-Wire Touch Panel Offering

Hoofddorp, April 20, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Europe B.V. today announced it has expanded its 7-wire resistive touch panel offering with the addition of a 17-inch (diagonal) standard product. The company now offers OEMs and VARs a line of standard 7-wire touch panels ranging in size from 8.4 inches to 17 inches and down to 3.8 inches for the 4-wire version.

Fujitsu Expands Copper Connector Offering for High-Speed Switching Applications

Hoofddorp, April 5, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Europe B.V., today announced it has expanded its high-speed copper microGiGaCN™ connector series by adding a vertical board-mount I/O socket. The new socket expands Fujitsu’s offering of standard, copper I/O and mid-plane interconnects that comply with InfiniBand®, 10G CX4 Ethernet, and 10G Fiber Channel requirements while meeting the needs of other high-speed applications. For distances less than 20m, the microGiGaCN series provides a low-cost alternative to optical fiber.
