EDI & Barcode Scanning

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a communications instrument for improving the speed, quality and reliability of business data exchange between leading partners. UN-EDIFACT provides a worldwide homogenous standard to exchange business documents in a structured and computer processable format.
Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME), as a company engaged in the Electronics business, committed themselves to the usage of the EDIFICE standard - a subset of the UN-EDIFACT standard which is adjusted to the requirements of the Electronics Industry.
FME's central computer system is located at the Langen Headquarters. Based on the UNIX operating system with a Relational Data Base Management System, the central computer system is linked to a Wide Area Network (WAN) and provides all offices with on-line access. The application software/ system packages for 'sale', 'purchase', 'warehouse' and 'customs & excise' are fully integrated and linked to an EDI system to forge an application-to application EDI with our partners.
