Notes 1) About the operating environment - This software does not guarantee reliable operations if used with Terminal Service Client or Remote Desktop Connection Client. - To use this software, set the display to High Color or higher mode. If 256 or less color mode is selected, the display may be incorrect. - This program may abend if you use this program and save files in JPEG 2000 format on a personal computer that runs Microsoft Windows Vista, and that Microsoft Office IME 2007 is installed in. To avoid this problem, change the input method editor to Microsoft IME, which is Windows standard. - If you uninstall this software from where you installed it together with Fujitsu Scanner Control SDK, any applications developed with the SDK will not start up. In such case, reinstall the SDK. 2) About supported drivers - This software supports Fujitsu fi-series scanners, but users must install supported scanner drivers separately. - This software supports ISIS-compliant, Fujitsu TWAIN, and Kofax VRS (Virtual ReScan), but does not support WIA (Microsoft Windows Image Acquisition). - The scanner settings may need be reconfigured once the scanner driver has been upgraded. 3) In the case of using Kofax VRS (Virtual ReScan) - Before using VRS do the following: from the [Tool] menu, select [Setting]; in the displayed dialog box, select the [Scan] tab; select ISIS as the driver. - To change the VRS settings, do the following: select [Scanner settings] to display the VRS setting dialog box. Change the settings in this dialog box. 4) In the case of using MS SharePoint Sever - MS SharePoint Server refers to: Microsoft(R) SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Microsoft(R) Office SharePoint Server 2007 - On a computer in which MS SharePoint Sever is installed, execute the "ScandAllPROSrv.exe" file. - Before installing this software, install .NET Framework 2.0 or later. You can download .NET Framework from the Microsoft Web site. - If you execute [Show Desktop] on the Windows taskbar while using Web Parts, you may not be able to restore the window(s) to their original positions and sizes. So, do not execute [Show Desktop] while you are using Web Parts. 5) Number of pages to scan - The number of pages to scan specified with ScandAll PRO equals the count of pages that are output to a file. Therefore, the number of pages actually scanned by the scanner may be more than the specified value above. 6) Message gSA01076Ih - Even if you delete some of the scanned pages, the error message SA01076I may be displayed again. In this case, close the file; the message will not appear again. 7) About Printing - Even when [Print in Actual Size] is selected at [Page Format] in ScandAll PRO, the printed image differs from the scanned image as the print area is subject to the settings of the printer driver. 8) About Image Processing Software Option - Scanning with a template other than [Current Setting] in the Image Processing Software Option dialog takes precedence over the settings configured for batch profiles and Web parts in ScandAll PRO (such as resolution, image mode, scan type, imprinter, and job control). 9) About Linking up with Imprinter Counter - The initial value of the page counter is set equal to that of the imprinter's counter. These counters are updated independently once scanning is made. So, their values differs when: * Incorrect steps are set in the imprinter's counter * The number of scanned pages differs with that of output pages because the Blank Page Skip or Multi Image function has been enabled * The imprinter prints in the back side of paper * The Job Separation Sheet is used - The value of the imprinter counter matches that of the page counter to be appended to the file name if you continue scanning with the [Linking up with Imprinter Counter] checkbox on. To match the page and imprinter counter values for a multipage file, set the counter step to "0" in the scanner driver. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Modifications 1) Modifications for Update 2 - A modification has been made so page missing will not occur while the file format specified is PDF or PDF/A. 2) Modifications for Update 1 - A modification was made so any non-imprinter counter character string is also printed at the same time when the [Linking up with Imprinter Counter] checkbox is marked. - A modification was made so the [Linking up with Imprinter Counter] checkbox in the [Name Rule] dialog box is disabled when you try so. - A modification was made so the Imprinter Counter synchronizes with the Page Counter when you mark the [Linking up with Imprinter Counter] checkbox in the [Name Rule] dialog box and select [Yes] in the [SA01005Q] message box to continue the scan. - A modification was made so that files are transferred to the FTP server successfully. - A modification was made to prevent screens from flickering when filtering is used. - A modification was made to inherit the settings configured for the TWAIN scanner driver when you reference or create a batch profile. - A modification was made so that the image type setting does not change to "color (grayscale)" when you edit the profile that uses the TWAIN scanner driver immediately after starting the scanner. - A modification was made to prevent filtering from malfunctioning while the scanner is in 4-bit gray, 4-bit color, or 8-bit color mode. ================================================================================ Microsoft and Windows are registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and/or other countries.
