A large, bright 8.4" (1024 x 768 pixel) touch screen provides an intuitive interface to make scanning documents not only simple, but also highly efficient by utilizing embedded advanced scanning features. Developed based on decades of Fujitsu scanning experience, these advanced features are performed automatically and do not require human intervention, improving the efficiency of digitizing paper documents. Some of these advanced features include Automatic Page Rotation so images appear in the proper orientation, Automatic Page Size detection to deskew and crop your images when scanning different sized items and Automatic Blank Page deletion to eliminate blank backside pages. Additionally, the Job Function button gives administrators the flexibility to create custom buttons on the scanner touch screen to perform predefined scanner actions and deliver images to one or even multiple destinations with one touch. For example, one button might be created for Expense Reports which performs the Scan to E-mail and Scan to Folder functions in consecutive sequence on one scanned image.

Manage devices easily over your Local Area Network and the Internet via the fi-6010N intuitive Central Administration Console. Through centralized management, deployment is fast and ongoing maintenance is nearly effortless, lowering total cost of ownership. The fi-6010N Central Administration Console provides easy to understand configuration interfaces, but also delivers powerful functionality including firmware update pushes, configuration changes and/or adding in modules to remote devices. In addition, ongoing support for network scanners deployed throughout an office or around the world is consolidated into a convenient interface view, which provides important device information such as firmware version, system settings and consumable counts. The Job Function button feature also gives system administrators the flexibility to create custom buttons to execute predefined actions. For example, create one button for Expense Reports which performs the Scan to E-mail and Scan to Folder functions in consecutive sequence on one scanned image, while another button is used for Invoices which would execute the Scan to FTP, Scan to Network Fax and Scan to Print functions in sequential order.
