GR Multipath Driver
Provides path failover and load balancing functionalities for Solaris, Windows NT® 4.0, Windows® 2000, and Linux environments
Fujitsu's GR Multipath Driver provides high availability and high performance path fail-over and load balancing across multiple connections between an ETERNUS storage system and a server. In the event of a connection path failure, non-stop operation is assured as the GR Multipath Driver software automatically switches traffic to the alternate path(s). In addition, the Load Balance feature enables optimized application response by distributing all I/O requests evenly across all available paths.

Load Balancing is achieved by distributing the I/O requests evenly across all available multiple paths. The result is optimized application response.
Note: The Load Balance feature is available with ETERNUS3000 (in 4-path configuration), GR730 (in 4-path configuration), and GR740, GR820, GR840, ETERNUS6000, storage systems.
Descriptions
The GR Multipath Driver is offered in the following three types. For the newer OS versions that GR Driver does not support, ETERNUS Multipath Driver is available.

Note 1: With the Solaris version, up to two paths can be connected.
The Windows/ Linux version can not support any path connection.
