FCRAM Evaluation Board

FCRAM evaluation board (FPGA option evaluation board) is one of support tools to assist memory system development. FCRAM evaluation board enables system verification including memory subsystem without development effort of new hardware. Since the evaluation board can be connected to existing FPGA prototype board through high-speed connector, the existing FPGA prototype board can be extend to verify new FCRAM interface.

FCRAM evaluation board and related reference circuit resource can be supported by Tokyo Electron Device Limited.

Benefit of FCRAM Evaluation Board

FCRAM Evaluation Board saves development cost & effort of memory subsystem evaluation environment. Since FCRAM Evaluation Board can be connected with the existing FPGA prototype board through Samtec connectors existing evaluation environment can be expanded without additional hardware development. Also Verilog reference design of memory controller and DFI PHY optimized for FPGA are provided.

Seamless migration of verified design resource from FPGA to SoC can be supported. Also FCRAM Evaluation Board can be used to verify the existing circuit design using wrapper (e.g. Bus width conversion). Please contact us if you have any requests for customizing the evaluation environment.

FCRAM Evaluation System Configuration (Example)

Please download the PDF below and see the configuration example for the FCRAM evaluation system. Standalone evaluation of 256Mbit FCRAM can be executed using memory controller programmed in FPGA on the board. In addition, larger scale evaluation is capable by connecting FCRAM evaluation board and FPGA prototype evaluation board that customer is using for SoC and SDRAM verification.
