Overview

The MB86V00/01 is a highly integrated Mobile Multimedia Device designed to enable high quality camera and video streaming functions the latest and emerging handheld devices need. The MB86V00/01 implement almost all of these multimedia functions through hardware (H/W).

The MB86V00/01 require much less power than a general-purpose device implementing those functions through software. For cell phones, reducing power consumption is one of the most important things to be accomplished. Besides, H/W implementation for these functions promises extremely better performance and quality.

The MB86V00/01 are able to handle up to two LCD modules of maximum VGA (640x480) and two camera modules of maximum UXGA (1600x1200). For multimedia functions, the MB86V00/01 are implemented both JPEG and MPEG-4 H/W codec. MPEG-4 H/W codec realizes encode and decode simultaneously for TV conference (QVGA@ 15fps). Besides, 2D/3D graphics acceleration with 24bpp LCD controller realizes special image effects such as alpha- Blending, Polygon draw and Overlay etc.
