Fujitsu team up with Mototech on Mobile WiMAX
Shanghai, October 23, 2007 — Fujitsu Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. today announced that Fujitsu is selected by Mototech as the WiMAX baseband SoC partner. Mototech is a global ODM, specialist in the broadband and data networking market, she will base on Fujitsu's Mobile WiMAX baseband SoC which is fully complaint to IEEE802.16e-2005 standard to develop WiMAX product such as PCMCIA card, USB dongle, WiMAX router and WiMAX Video system. Both companies announced to corporate in develop WiMAX product and collaborate on business development to penetrate their strategic products to the market. Both companies will be showing WiMAX product at Fujitsu booth (C4-1) during the Taipei WiMAX Forum Showcase and Conference in Taipei at TICC.

Fujitsu WiMAX Baseband SoC solution is a IEEE802.16e-2005, WiMAX Forum Wave2(MiMO) profile compliant which support Beamforming, Matrix A and Matrix B. Fujitsu has already proved such funcions with real BS through air interface, and ready for the Wave 2 certification. Fujitsu mobile WiMAX SoC is also showing the high throughput which is closed to the theoretical maximum figure with MiMO.
