Fujitsu Joins Hand With Amedia Networks To Expand Asian-Pacific Market
Shanghai, December 11, 2006 — Fujitsu Microelecronics (shanghai) Co.,Ltd. announced that Fujitsu Electronic Device Group Asia (EDGA) has forged an alliance with American company Amedia Networks to expand wireless multimedia market in Asian-Pacific region and provide integrated solutions based on their strategic product series for all costumers.
According to the cooperative agreement, Fujitsu will integrate its digital AV products with Amedia Networks' wireless multimedia connectivity solutions, to provide various costumers with integrated multimedia solutions and launch an All-around promotion in Asian-Pacific even global markets. It is reported that Fujitsu MicroElectronics has successfully delivered some related products to its clients. As a world leading supplier of digital AV integrated solutions, Fujitsu MicroElectronics will take the opportunity of this cooperation to widen its influence in wireless multimedia area and strengthen its leading position further.
Wireless multimedia application is now one of the most potential markets, and it brings about the support for wireless infrastructure. The cooperation between Fujitsu and Amedia Networks is precisely a harmonious blend of both sides' technologies. Fujitsu, a founding and board member of the WiMAX Forum, has been committed to application of wireless technology standards; and leading the way in MPEG CODEC chips.
