Fujitsu is to attend IC China 2006, to discuss the future of LSI industry


Shanghai, August 30, 2006 — Fujitsu Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. declares to attend IC China, an international seminar which covers the complete chain of IC industry. IC China, which has been successfully staged for three times, is the most influential annual conference of China’s semi-conductor industry. In IC China 2006, Fujitsu, the world leader in semi-conductors, is going to display many items including dashboard solutions,GDC, the next generation of FlexRay product in network of vehicles, MPEG decoding chip series, power managing chip series, WiMAX solutions and chip manufacture and encapsulation. Fujitsu will also consult with present governors, related experts home and abroad, enterprise CEOs and investment analyzers on the latest progress made in the industry of semiconductor, the latest research results and heated problems in the development of the industry.

Mr. Shigeru Fujii, who is the global senior vice president of Fujitsu and also the president of electronic component department of Fujitsu, will arrange a special trip to this IC China. He is prepared to deliver a speech at the summit with the topic of “the future development trend of LSI industry and Fujitsu’s partnership strategy”. Two subjects will be involved in the speech. On one hand, the application of IC will infiltrate into every field of the society; on the other hand, IC industry is also confronted with grievous challenges, including the bottle-necks of research, design and production. Fujitsu will discuss further on how to depend on new commercial patterns to fight against the challenges as the world leader in this field.

Mr. Michael shih, the board chairman of Fujitsu Asia and Pacific Group, makes clear Fujitsu’s persistent commitment in the sustainable development of IC industry. IC China is one of China’s most important industry conferences. The members of the conference cover the complete chain of IC industry. This kind of conference provides Fujitsu with a sound opportunity to consult with experts on the developing trend of IC industry and inform Fujitsu’s industry partners of its advanced technology and commitment in China’s market.

In the coming IC China 2006, Fujitsu, one of the most important participants, is provided with an exhibition area of 54 square-meters, located in Section A07. The exhibition area is divided into 5 sections, respectively displaying its automobile electron, digital audio and video, mock wireless communications, ASIC, wafer sub-contraction and advanced technology of manufacture and encapsulation.
