Fujitsu ETERNUS Storage System records 2,685.50 MBPS with SPC Benchmark-2™

Fujitsu's performance testing of an ETERNUS DX80 S2 disk storage system using the Storage Performance Council's SPC Benchmark-2™ (*Note 1), the latest industry storage benchmark, has achieved a result of 2,685.50 SPC-2 MBPS™.
As a result ETERNUS DX80 S2 demonstrates world's best performance record as an entry class storage system (*Note 2).
SPC-2 benchmark is designed to show aggregate performance of the storage subsystem in large-sized, sequential access environments.
SPC-2 consists of three distinct workload profiles:
Large file processing,
Large database queries,
and Video on Demand.
The Executive Summary and Full Disclosure Report are available on the Storage Performance Council web site (official approval is subject to a 60-day review period).
