Overview of Oracle Hyperion

Integration and management services from Fujitsu

hyperionOracle required a budget planning application that its ERP customers could use easily, and the acquisition of Hyperion in 2007 gave this in Hyperion Planning. A long standing customer of Fujitsu, Reading Borough Council were at the time of the acquisition intending to implement the older Oracle solution as their need for mid and long term budgeting was becoming urgent. Fujitsu adopted a strategy of partnering with an existing Hyperion Partner and worked with the customer on an innovative project to implement quickly. Reading BC became a reference for not only Fujitsu but the first post acquisition reference for Oracle.

Hyperion has many other applications and Fujitsu is a long time user of Hyperion Financial Management a consolidation tool we use to consolidate all the Fujitsu Services accounts into Japan.

Most of the Hyperion applications use their own OLAP product Essbase as their underlying data store and this is recognised as world class. Essbase as a data source can then be reported on in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

The Siebel Analytics and Hyperion Products are what make up the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management portfolio and Fujitsu is a committed serious provider of this capability. We have invested to create and develop the capability and this had included exploiting the Oracle Partner Enablement Program for this discipline and with this team then creating and funding an OBIEE ‘bootcamp’. Fujitsu has achieved Certified Advantage Partner recognition in both Technology and Applications, one of the first Systems integrators to do so, and this is our differentiator, we know the data in the ERP applications
