TSTT, Fujitsu win GOVNETT contract

Telecommunications Services of T&T (TSTT) and Fujitsu Transaction Solutions (Trinidad) Limited have been jointly awarded a contract to set up GOVNETT, an ultra high-speed communications network serving Government ministries and State agencies.

The network will facilitate “unprecedented public access to online Government services,” according to a statement from the two companies.

They said that when it is completed, GOVNETT will be the largest data network in T&T, bigger than systems used by major corporations in the country
