10Gbps Ethernet 20-port, High-Density, Low Power Ethernet Switch

Building upon the strength of Fujitsu's mature field proven 12 port integrated 10 GBE switch, Fujitsu is now introducing a 22 port Ethernet switch which has 20x10GBE ports each of which can be programmed to be either XAUI/CX4 or 10G serial and 2 additional GBE ports. Adding upon the features of the previous generation chip the new chip offers an on chip micro-engines used for management, extended VLAN capabilities, priority pause and backward congestion notification as well as a large 2.9MB internal buffer memory. All these features are offered while consuming the same power and foot print (35mm x35mm) as the previous generation. Fujitsu 20 port 10GBE switch offers a total of 400+ Gbps of non-blocking switching capacity which makes it ideally suited for next generation backplane fabric applications seen in AdvancedTCA and microTCA platforms.
