Motor Control Devices

Fujitsu Microelectronics offers a line-up of microcontrollers dedicated to motor control applications. They range from 8-bit F2MC-8FX products with flexible timers to drive brushed DC motors, several series of 16-bit microcontrollers (MB90560, MB90460, MB90820) with 3-phase motor drive functionality, up to powerful 32-bit dedicated motor control microcontrollers such as the MB91260, MB91265 and MB91470 Series.

The MB91F267(N), with a unique feature mix, is the current 32-bit entry level motor control MCU, featuring three-phase motor timer, MAC-unit, two dedicated ADCs as well as Dual-Operation Flash.

The recently-announced MB91470/475 and MB91480 Series expands the 32-bit MCU family to even higher performance, and includes upgrades of ADCs to 12-bit resolution, as well as higher operating frequency and greater memory capacity.

Support and Tools

Fujitsu provides local dedicated application engineering support for motor control applications, in addition to our standard software development tools such as Softune Workbench, along with a wide selection of software examples and application notes.

Two specially designed evaluation boards ease the entrance to motor control projects.

The Phase3-Kit is a small starter kit for a variety of target applications, such as general 32-bit control applications, 3-phase motor control, data acquisition / processing and CAN applications.

The evaluation board MotorKit-91F267-MC can serve as a 3-phase motor control development platform for many applications, including BLDC (with Hall sensors or sensor-less), PMSM with sinusoidal commutation, vector control of PMSM / ACIM and much more.
