Low Power, Low Cost, Compact MCU Applications
As microcontroller designs continue to move into smaller applications with limited power resources, the availability of small pin count devices with complex peripherals and power saving features have become increasingly desirable.
To answer this need, Fujitsu is proud to present F2MC-8FX family microcontrollers with peripheral rich, low pin count devices with a wealth of features. Devices include power saving features, new clock control features including a multi-frequency internal RC oscillator, on-chip dual op Flash memory for EEPROM emulation , on chip debug, software controlled brown out and watchdog timer resets, Flash program memory, and a host of other new features that will make small footprint designs more powerful and power efficient than ever before.

USB Applications
Industrial applications are increasingly requiring USB resources. Fujitsu aims to target this demand with the MB90330/335 (16LX) and MB96330U (16FX) series.
The line-up offers high-performance 16-bit MCUs (F2MC-16LX and F2MC-16FX family) with built-in USB macros, supporting USB-Function and simplified USB-MiniHost. This allows a USB device to act either as a USB-Host or as a USB-Function. In this way, USB peripheral devices can exchange data without the mediation of a PC. In addition to standard LIN-USART/SPI and I2C interfaces, the MB96330U series offers three channels of CAN to cover all sorts of connectivity requirements.

USB Drivers
Developed by Fujitsu and Thesycon, USB drivers are available free of charge from the download site.
The drivers support both USB-Function and USB-Minihost for MB90330/335 and MB96330U, fulfil standard API norms based on Full-Speed USB specification and can reach a data transfer rate of 1 MByte/s in bulk at full speed.
Furthermore, Fujitsu provides software examples including a mass storage class and open source file
