Fujitsu to Install AbsoluteSKY’s RFID Inventory Tracking Systems at Staples Business Depot

Toronto, ON, May 24, 2007 — Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. today announced that Staples Business Depot, Canada’s largest supplier of office supplies, business machines, office furniture and business services, will perform an initial installation of AbsoluteSKY’s (OTC: ABSY) intelliTRACKER™ RFID-based product suite at a Canadian store beginning May 2007.

"This is clearly a significant installation in our inventory management improvement initiative," said Joe Soares, Director, Process Engineering at Staples Business Depot. "We’ve done our homework on RFID and expect a positive ROI and the ability to meaningfully improve inventory visibility and customer service."

During this installation, Staples Business Depot will tag thousands of items that will be dynamically tracked in real-time (at long range), from entering into store inventory, to store shelves, through to completion of the sales transaction. While automatically tracking the inventory, the intelliTRACKER™ software performs a range of functions including: on-hand status and search, automated receiving, inventory status changes, zone differentiation and shrink reduction. In addressing privacy concerns, the RFID tags are not concealed on the items and are re-usable. They are physically detached when the item is sold to the customer at a Staples Business Depot store.

"Staples Business Depot is not only a leader in office supplies, but they are also a leader in applying new technology to improve the retail shopping experience," said Peter Sciberras, general manager and vice president of sales, Canada, Fujitsu Transaction Solutions. "Staples has a clear and practical vision with respect to RFID technology and its potential to reap significant operational benefits in the store environment including better serving their customers."

Fujitsu and AbsoluteSKY formed a strategic relationship during 2006 to respond to the growing need for item-level inventory tracking in the retail industry. Delivering accurate, long-range tracking in real- time, intelliTRACKER™ provides an extensive range of customer benefits that includes: increased inventory turns, virtual elimination of missed sales as a result of out-of-stocks and extensive control over loss prevention.
