WHAT/WHY:
An explosion of consumer-facing devices, in and out of the store, is driving a pervasive retailing future – where consumers increasingly will expect personalized interaction on the device of their choice, anywhere, any time and every time.
In this forum, retailers will learn how customer expectations and new innovations are changing the shopping experience. Attendees will gain practical insight on effectively approaching retail technology decisions and successfully implementing those innovations to ensure they are adopted by employees and consumers while maximizing their return on investment (ROI).
Michael Schrage, research associate at the MIT Media Lab and one of the world’s most creative thought leaders on innovation, will keynote the event and focus on customer acceptance of new products and services as an integral part of the innovation process. Attendees will obtain actionable insights and discover a decision-process approach for evaluating new innovations that helps ensure adoption by employees and customers, leading to a positive ROI.
A panel of retail CIOs, strategists and luminaries, along with Schrage, will participate in a discussion moderated by Scott Langdoc, CTO of Fujitsu. They will share their strategies and approaches for evaluating and introducing new store innovations.
The Forum Session is available to NRF full conference attendees.
