Danier Leather Selects Fujitsu Technology Services for Operations in China
Frisco, TX, September 5, 2006 — Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. today announced that it is providing technology services and support for Danier Leather Inc.’s (TSX: DL.SV) office in Hangzhou, China.
Under the agreement, Fujitsu will provide desk-side services, network security and procurement on all Fujitsu and third-party equipment at the Danier office in China, including installation, training and break/fix services support.
"We have no full-time IT staff at our office in China, and needed a partner that could quickly step in and provide maintenance and training to help our day-to-day operations run efficiently. Fujitsu quickly answered the call and began service soon after signing the contract," said Phil Cutter, chief information officer of Toronto-based Danier Leather. "Between this project and the North American store systems rollout they just completed, we’re relying on Fujitsu to become a global partner."
"At Fujitsu, we take pride knowing that we have the reach, knowledge and capability to quickly set up technology service and maintenance operations for any retailer at any location around the world," said Peter Sciberras, general manager and regional vice president of sales, Canada, Fujitsu Transaction Solutions. "We’ve enjoyed helping Danier improve their retail technology chain-wide, and look forward to helping them expand and succeed globally."
